Aaron Aguilar, Executive Director at Solstice Senior Living at Corpus Christi, has over five years of experience in the senior living industry holding various roles. With a versatile background and commitment to positive change, Aaron leads with passion, shaping a supportive environment for seniors in Corpus Christi. 

A Texas native, Aaron holds a bachelor’s degree in health science administration from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and a master’s degree in dementia and aging studies from Texas State University. Beyond his professional dedication, he enjoys fitness, watching football, dancing and spending time with his family alongside his spouse, Christina.  

Katie Nowokunski, Director of Sales and Marketing at Solstice Senior Living at Corpus Christi, found her passion for senior living when she joined Solstice in July of 2022. Her diverse experiences contribute to a holistic approach in her role, ensuring a warm and supportive environment for seniors in Corpus Christi. 

Originally from a small town in northern New Jersey, she attended East Carolina University and has now been part of the Coastal Bend community since December 2020. Outside of work, Katie loves spending time at the beach, going for walks with her dog Emma, and treasuring moments with her husband and children.  

Mallory Thurman-Velasquez, Business Office Director at Solstice Senior Living at Corpus Christi, brings a dynamic blend of passion and experience to her role. Her previous work experience includes Assistant Director of Homeless Prevention Programs for a local nonprofit organization, along with an accounting controller role for two dealerships. Mallory holds degrees from Victoria College and Walden University.  

Mallory is a CrossFit enthusiast who loves competing in various competitions. With a preference for books over Netflix and a keen appreciation for pizza, Mallory is also a dedicated supporter of her daughter’s volleyball passion.  

Diana Garza, Vibrant Life® Director at Solstice Senior Living of Corpus Christi, is dedicated to creating a positive work environment and fostering engaging interactions among employees and residents alike. Diana has over 17 years of experience in senior living, including five years in independent living and 12 years in nursing/rehabilitation. A Corpus Christi resident for 58 years, Diana brings a deep understanding of the community to her role, enriching the lives of seniors in her care. 

Outside of work, Diana is a proud mother, and she finds joy in family time as well as reading and bike riding.  

Carlos Barrera, Culinary Service Director at Solstice Senior Living at Corpus Christi, cherishes his role as both a valuable learning opportunity and a source of enjoyment. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Carlos’ culinary journey spans two decades, starting from prep chef to kitchen manager, with his most recent role as a Sushi Chef in an Asian fusion restaurant. Carlos attended Del Mar College’s Culinary Program.  

Outside of work, Carlos enjoys watching movies with friends and is a talented musician proficient in both the violin and cello. He even composes music collaboratively with other musicians and contributes to a performing ensemble.  

Roberto Delgadillo, Building Services Director at Solstice Senior Living at Corpus Cristi, brings over 28 years of health care maintenance expertise to our community. His previous experience includes being lead engineer and overseeing a team of 22 engineers and maintenance technicians on construction projects and repairs. Before that, Roberto was head Millwright for Million Bushel Grain Elevator.  

Beyond work, Roberto enjoys dining out, going to the movies and traveling with his wife.
